More Stuff About Me.

March 4, 2015

Today, I am going to post something a little different. I recently did a little quiz blog and I wanted to do something like that but with only a few questions. Deeper questions than just the trivial ‘what did you have for lunch today?’ I wanted to find out more about myself as well as others. So I challenge anyone reading to put some serious thought into these and answer honestly. Here goes.

1. What is the place you felt the happiest or safest?

This one was a really tough one to answer. When I was in high school I was bullied badly because I was different. That resulted in depression, then my cousin passed away and it got worse. So the safest place for me was locked in my room, it was also the happiest. There I could escape everything, I could write, draw, or read in peace. I submersed myself in wrestling on Monday nights. I locked my door and just let my mind completely drown in my own thoughts of how my life would be when I got older. Now that I am older the safest and happiest place to me is in my fiance’s arms. Just being with him I know that nothing could ever hurt me. Yes, I get depressed sometimes but I know that it will always get better for us.

2.This one is a little more fun. What is the most antiqued item you own?

I didn’t have to think about this one long. One year for Christmas I got this old jewelry box, it played music and upon inspecting it I found very old jewelry that had fallen into the wooden lining. I already knew that the box was old but I found a ring that looked so withered that it could have been from the early 1900’s who knows. I kept it and still have it as well. Kind of surprising that I’ve had it this long.

3. What is one food that reminds you of your youth or childhood?

My Grandmother has this way of making chicken legs that is to die for. We used to call them Chicken-Winger Flinger-Dingers. (Don’t laugh) Every time my Grandma made them they were devoured. They were messy and so good. Every time I remember them that is what takes me back to when I was young. It just makes me remember a time when I was innocent and didn’t have a care in the world. Its kind of funny because I have tried to block out most of my childhood, there was a lot of painful events that I would like to forget. But, moving on!

4. What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

This is another that will probably get a laugh. I always thought that I would be a WWE Diva. A female wrestler. It’s the only thing I ever thought about, like I said before it consumed me. Wrestling was my everything, it was my obsession, my passion, and my sanctuary. I couldn’t live without it. I religiously had to be sitting in front of the television at 8:00 every Monday night without fail. If there was a Pay-Per-View on the night before and anyone else had seen it they were not allowed to tell me anything, I always wanted to find out myself. I wore wrestling t-shirts and dressed like Jeff Hardy for a long time. I still love wrestling to this day. I don’t think I will ever outgrow it. John Cena is still my favorite. I just had to add that.

5. What is your childhood fear?

When I was a kid I was so scared of death. I would lie awake at night and freak myself out by thinking about what it would be like to die. I still freak myself out, I can’t help it. There was a time when I welcomed it, I didn’t care whether I lived or died. But now that time has passed and I am terrified again, thinking about nothingness. The only thing that makes me feel better is that there is a Heaven and it won’t be darkness I will be with my family forever in Heaven. I hate the feeling of fear. It grips my heart like a vice and makes it hard to breathe. I almost can’t move as I am writing this just thinking about it. It is really hard for me to talk about my fear out in the open because it makes me think about it and then it won’t go away. It’s like planting a seed it just keeps growing and growing. So I have to stop myself right here.

I hope you enjoyed reading more about me. I think everyone should at least once, dig down deep and talk about things like this. Once it’s out of the way it keeps the mind clear. I actually feel a lot better now that it’s not all trapped in my head! You should try it!

Thanks for reading! XO

  1. I am a very opinionated person, I never used to be but with all the things that have happened to me in the last year I have grown a thick skin.
  2. My favorite animal of all time is the lion. They are beautiful and fierce. Funny thing about that is my fiance’s sign is Leo, so I found my lion!   leo
  3. I have always wanted to be an English teacher. High school or junior high. With my love for books I always wanted to pass down my reading to children and help them learn to better themselves through reading, though I never got around to it.
  4. I love doing hair and makeup. I have very long hair (all the way past my belt) so I am always trying out tips and tricks with my hair.

  6. I own over 100 Skylanders. It is a video game, there are little figures that you place on a portal and they “come grpto life” on the game. I love them, this is my hobby. I am still looking for the most rare one his name is Ghost Roaster.
  7. I am not a people person, yet I work in customer service. I don’t like talking to people on the phone I don’t mind interacting with people but I don’t want to hear them complain about our product when it is something I can’t control. I don’t mind listening to people’s problems but I don’t like when they try to make it my fault. (I shouldn’t be in customer service I know).

As for the nominations. I still don’t have many to nominate but these are the ones I do have.

These are all blogs that I have just recently started following and reading. They are wonderful and are all well written. I enjoy reading their posts and all they have to say.

Thank you again for nominating me it means a lot to me!

The Very Inspiring Blogger Award

My Nomination for The One Lovely Blog Award.

one-lovely-blog-awardI was nominated by for the One Lovely Blog Award. A big shout out to Mumz The Word, you’re not the only one who forgot to check their email! I accept and must follow these rules:

– Thank the person who nominated you for the award.

– Add the One Lovely Blog logo to your post. – Share 7 facts/or things about yourself.

– Nominate about 15 bloggers you admire and inform nominees by commenting on their blog.

So starting with the 7 things about me:

  1. I am extremely obsessed with WWE wrestling, and even considered making my blog about that. I have loved wrestling since I was a kid and watch it every week with my fiancé and son. We rarely ever miss it. My all time favorite wrestler? John Cena! I even wanted to make it into a career but I didn’t make it very far because of self-esteem issues. Which brings me to my 2nd.
  2. I was bullied A LOT in high school. It made me very self-conscious of myself. I was a bit nerdy and I didn’t fit in. I was lucky to have the few friends I did in school. They are still my friends today.
  3. I love to read! One of my favorite series of books are the Harry Potter serious (yes seriously). I have read them all at least 6 times a piece, excluding the last one. I always have my nose in a book when I can. I am a receptionist at a car dealership so when I am not babysitting grown men I am reading. This summer at work I did a lot of reading, I read over 25 books in 2 months and about 50 in 3 ½ months. My mother is a big reader too and she has had a lot of influence in me reading. I was reading at a 5th grade level in the 1st grade so that should explain a lot. I am an amazing speller as well. I always have been, aced almost every spelling test put in front of me! Not to toot my own horn!
  4. Country music is my favorite kind of music and I am a music fanatic, I always have to have music in my day to day life. I grew up listening to country, I like most genres but this one is my favorite. I grew up in a little bitty mining town and it was VERY country. I know I should have fit right in, right?
  5. My best friend in the whole world is my sister, we talk almost every day and I am so lucky to have her to vent to about everything. She was the first person to read my blog and probably my biggest supporter! I couldn’t imagine my life without her! She reads every post and then dissects every one with me later and I love it. I only wish she didn’t live so far away so we could see each other whenever we wanted.
  6. My fiancé used to work and was friends with my ex. Yes, that is how we met. I went to visit my ex one day for lunch and I thought my fiancé was the sexiest thing I had ever laid eyes on. I noticed his tattoo of a mutual favorite wrestler and we hit it off. He is the love of my life and was my whole world until Jake came along. I guess you could say he still is my whole world seeing as Jake is a part of him. We were homeless for the end of 2013 and the first part of 2014 and we have been living in our apartment since Feb 2014. I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for this man. He has helped me grow in every aspect of myself. I am a better person because of him. We will celebrate our 2 year anniversary this April.
  7. Huge confession here and hard for me to say. I wasn’t really as ready as I thought I would be to be a mom. It’s been one bump after another and I think I have rode things pretty smoothly but I can’t be sure, I only can go with my gut and hope it is right. My fiancé really knew less than me, I have helped raise my niece since she was born but she is only 4. It could be worse I suppose. I wouldn’t want things to be any different though. I would want them to be exactly the same as they are now.

I don’t have quite 15 people to nominate (I wish I could nominate Mumz but she nominated me) but here goes:

  3. (love the DIY stuff she posts!)

I only have 3 and that is just because I am new here I have only been here for a month so I don’t know many people or follow many blogs just yet. 😉 Thanks again to Mumz The Word and thanks everyone for reading! XO
